Drea Mora is the new Western Regional Coordinator for the NC Preconception Health Campaign. She is passionate about providing free and accessible reproductive wellness programming to her community and hit the ground running in October 2019. In addition to leading this regional charge, she is the program coordinator for substance use education at Mountain Area Health Education Center (MAHEC) developing courses that promote non-opioid pain management methods and de-stigmatize substance use disorders. Before moving to Asheville, Drea worked for the largest public charter school district in New York City, fighting to close the achievement gap in the five boroughs and curating the experiential learning curriculum for over 17,000 students from kindergarten to 12th grade. She also taught at various New York museums and holds a degree in Art History and Art.
